Instructions for uploading abstracts
XII INTERNATIONAL CONGRESS OF GEOMATICS AND EARTH SCIENCES TOPCART2022

GENERAL: To submit an article, the main author must be registered at the congress (free of charge for COIGT members and pre-registered members). Authors must send a one-page summary or abstract (approximately 2,000 characters with spaces, including keywords and bibliographical references, if applicable). The decision taken by the scientific committee will be communicated to the interested parties before 30 June 2022.

ABSTRACT REGISTRATION PROCESS:   

1. The first thing to do is to register with a username and password on the website of https://easychair.org/ in the top right corner under Log in (create an account).
2.  Once you have registered, click on the link https://easychair.org/my/conference?conf=topcart2022#  and log in as an author, where you can fill in all the data related to your abstract.
3. Once you have attached the abstract in pdf format. Select Submit to register it, pending review by the scientific committee. 

IMPORTANT DATES:

• 1 de marzo de 2022: Sending of the second circular.
• 30 de junio de 2022: Acceptance of abstracts.
• 30 de septiembre de 2022: Sending of the third circular.

Geomatics, as a set of sciences that integrate the means for the capture, processing, analysis, interpretation, dissemination and storage of geographic information, constitutes an adequate and fundamental tool for risk management, providing spatial information to identify, estimate and evaluate natural phenomena.

The Cryosphere is the component of the Earth system that contains water in a solid state. Water in a solid state is found in the areas of our planet covered by snow or ice, whether land or sea. It includes Antarctica, the Arctic Ocean, Greenland, Northern Canada, Northern Siberia and most of the highest peaks of mountain ranges.

This area of application of Geomatics includes classical topography, lidar systems, GNSS systems, georadar, remote sensing, photogrammetry, UAVs, bathymetry, etc...

Cadastral surveyors measure, mark and map the boundaries of properties. Catastro is a word of Latin origin meaning public record or map for fiscal purposes. With the reform of the Mortgage Law and the revised text of the Cadastre in Spain, published in 2015, surveyors have become the most qualified competent technicians in the field of cadastral management.

This commission is focused on the study, knowledge, dissemination and deployment of the technologies with the greatest impact on Geomatics and Earth Sciences and which make up in an integrated way the future Fourth Industrial Revolution, Industry 4.0 with the Spanish initiative of Connected Industry 4.0. These technologies constitute the Big Data, Internet of Things and Cloud Computing triad.

The large volumes of data that are captured, transmitted, stored, processed and deployed by numerous data sources require exhaustive data analysis in everything related to Topography, Cartography, Spatial Data Infrastructures, Remote Sensing, Geographic Information Systems... Sensors, actuators, smart devices... of all kinds exchange large volumes of data with each other, configuring the Internet of Things. The cloud stores in countless data centres around the world all this immensity of data and through its software services, platforms and infrastructures, facilitates the interconnection of Big Data and the Internet of Things, in a new paradigm known as Industry 4.0 and in Spain, Connected Industry 4.0.

The Commission aims to promote these three new paradigms and to describe and analyse how they are supporting R&D&I in Geomatics and Earth Sciences.
